José Luis Arumí Ribera is Professor and Chair of the Water Resources Department at the Universidad de Concepción, Chillán, Chile, where he teaches grduate and undergraduate courses in Hydrology, Groundwater and Water Resources Engineering. His expertise is in the areas of hydrological monitoring and modeling; evaluation of surface-groundwater interactions; river and irrigation canal management and risk analysis. His current research involves analysis of the hydrology of Chilean watersheds and assessment of the vulnerability, availability, and augmentation of irrigation water after climate change.
